Mrs Fingal's summer holidays

You might think  , given it  is  now  4 September   that I  may have been on holiday  ALL summer  ..!       But as  a  good friend  puts it    ' I try to live  a life that  actually does not require    holidays '.  oh  ha!!!     Being self employed   we  both live in hope  of  achieving this  goal .......
if  summer   is  now fading  the  glorious  richness  of  autumn  harvest  ,  in colours  , food and  light  is now giving us super energy .

meanderings in StrathTay & other memories

It is already  over 2 weeks  since  my wee trip  to  StrathTay , & before    the   almost mystical  adventure of it, seeps  deeper into memory , time is overdue   to   share  some of it's    imagery .  ( Only  just  now beginning  to catch  up with the immediate work load  I came home too  ).  Nae complaining !

So having anticipated being   on my feet all day  in the heat of   a bustling craft fair I found instead   there was  time to  contemplate  actually   revisiting a few old haunts.

Of Boulders & Buttons

If  you   head out across the boulder beach  at Carsaig on the  #Isle of Mull    you   will   surely find your way to  the ancient Nun's Cave,   both   the root & inspiration  of   Mrs Fingal's   existence   .   A place of refuge I spent  time at , many moons ago.
Here now in #Torridon   the rocks continue to inspire  ...with a kind winter behind us   &  slumbers  pretty short  this year  as I emerged into  spring .

Full Moons   &   Reflections ...........
The last few  weeks  have been taken up with   festivities & family   and not surprisingly much felt ! It has been good to   stop  a while   , rest the shoulders  and simply enjoy getting out into our landscape   where the Full Moon  shone brightly (between lashings of rain I'll not deny !!).
Much was made  of the fact that the  Full Moon  has  not fallen  on 25 Dec  , since 1977.

OF ELVES & MYSTICAL THINGS    It was  great to be back at the   #Poolewe Christmas Market on Saturday  .      Most of last week was dedicated to  felting production  in preparation for it  . So while  the  gales lashed hard rain at us   I    had the welcome task of  being  confined indoors to the felting table  .      It was  a joy to be  working with #Lincoln Longwool again too,   Ohho.

Welcome to  my  latest adventure .... sharing   my journey with  FELT through  a blog !   The beginning of a whole new  chapter  for me and one I hope proves fun .
I might even  become  more computer literate ...........
